William Garman

MSc Game Engineering Student at Newcastle University
First Class with Honours Graduate of Newcastle University's BSc Computer
Science with Game Engineering Program
I am a passionate masters student, currently looking for placements within the games industry from April 2018. I am hoping I can undertake my dissertation project as a work placement because I feel this will give me a much better idea of what working in the games industry is like.

My BSc degree has given me a good grounding in general computer science and specifically programming. In my final year I specialised in Game Engineering. This gave me a formal education and experience in C++, game physics, game graphics and game development. My current degree will expand on and improve my knowledge of these areas especially the team game development project.

I have long had an interest in making games, this and my background in maths and physics (A Level Maths, Further Maths, and Physics) is what made me want to study computer science. It is my love of games that has driven me to work hard in university and outside of it.
